I Am A Part of Art: CATA @ Gallery 51

Join Community Access to the Arts at MCLA Gallery 51 as we showcase artists with disabilities, celebrate the exhibit The Art and Life of Jessica Park, and experience how we are all a part of art.

Thursday, June 12, 6-8pm

6pm Free acting workshop led by Barby Cardillo, CATA faculty artist and member of The Royal Berkshire Improv Troupe,
featuring CATA participants and spectators alike!

7pm Screening of “Rhythm and Hues”, a 2005 documentary chronicles CATA’s participants as they prepare for their annual performance at Shakespeare & Company.

Visitors can shop for handcrafted items from CATAdirect, a creative employment program for artists with disabilities. CATAdirect products for adorning the home and person are produced under lively conditions from mostly recycled materials. Also for sale, “Exploring Nirvana:  The Art of Jessica Park”, a 96-page, fully illustrated volume including essays and commentary on Park's journey as an artist with autism.
