CATA at the IS183 Holiday Fine Art & Craft Sale

IS183 Art School: 13 Willard Hill Road, Stockbridge

Saturday, December 1, 11am-5pm

An official stop on the Stockbridge Chamber of Commerce’s Holiday House Tour, IS183′s historic building will showcase the Berkshires’ best artists and artisans. Kids of all ages can participate in free art-making while parents shop for beautiful, handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gifts. Purchase pottery, textiles, paintings, jewelry, photography and more from over 30 leading artists from throughout the region. A unique piece will be raffled at the end of the day.

CATA will have a booth featuring our latest jewelry, gifts and holiday decorations!

Please join the Storefront Artist Project and Community Access to the Arts, a Berkshire County arts organization that nurtures and celebrates the creativity of people with disabilities through shared experiences in the visual and performing arts, for an art exhibition featuring the work of CATA participants.

Products from CATA’s creative employment program, CATAdirect, will be sold at the reception!

CATA Studio & Gallery

Residency: Monday, June 25 – Friday, June 29

Exhibition: Saturday, June 30

Please join CATA and Gordon Sasaki, New York based artist, whose artistic and teaching methods use a multi-sensory approach to address concepts of diversity and inclusion, for a residency that will include a series of inclusive hands-on workshops designed as professional development for teachers and artists, as well as for parent and student participation.

The residency program will include a series of visual art workshops, an inservice program for educators, open studio time, an art-sharing afternoon, and will conclude with an exhibition on Saturday, June 30 from 3-6pm. All interested Berkshire County residents over the age of 12, with and without disabilities, are invited to apply; the residency will include participants of all ages and ability levels. Events will take place from Monday, June 25 – Saturday, June 30. All events will take place at CATA’s Studio/Gallery at 40 Railroad Street in downtown Great Barrington.
